In today's increasingly electrified world, we're proud to present Charged, a fully customized 1970 Charger that is a glorious testament to the way things should be. A combination of classic Detroit style, tastefully restrained design upgrades and prodigious pachyderm power, Charged is ready to profile and prowl the streets or perform and punish on the track.
Body mods include a custom grill that blends with a shortened, smoothed and tucked front bumper. Flowing rearwards, custom door handles, filled marker lights, a recessed fuel filler cap and flush mounted exhaust combine with a smoothed and tucked rear bumper and custom tail lights to create a mechanically sinewy shape. It's all covered with a custom PPG gray metallic paint set off with matte black graphics and subtle bronze accents. Its gracefully sinister profile and purposeful stance defines the word attitude while its well thought out interior design, materials and creature comforts speak to its low key, get in and cruise capability.
Under hood lies a 572 inch Gen II HEMI, the one that made the name famous, terrorized the street and strip and is still the stuff of legend today. Breathing though a FAST EFI system, Hogan Intake, Indy HEMI Heads, custom headers with 3" inch pipes and Borla mufflers, this elephant trumpets out more than 660bhp and 730lb/ft of torque. It's all channeled through a Rossler 4L80E transmission and MOPAR 8.75 rear spinning a TruTrac diff.
The custom suspension sports RideTech ShockWave bags and an e-Level Air Management system. These work with power rack and pinion steering, 4 wheel discs featuring drilled and slotted rotors inside Schott F-10 wheels, connecting to the road via massive Pirelli P-Zero rubber.
Inside, subdued opulence greets driver and passengers with deeply bolstered bucket seats front and rear, a custom aluminum framed dash with Auto Meter Cobalt telemetry gauges, Vintage Air climate control and an Alpine Touchscreen system. Keeping admiring eyes, admiring only, is an INFINITYWIRE inMOTION ignition that's wired to INFINITYWIRE inRESERVE security system.
After taking more than 3000 man hours to complete, Charged took home the top spot at the 2015 Detroit Autorama.
